Buenos Aires, July 01, 2004 – Petrobras Energía Participaciones S.A. (Buenos Aires: PBE, NYSE:PZE), informs that at a meeting held on June 30, 2004, the Company's Board of Directors has accepted the resignation submitted by Rogerio Manso Da Costa Reis as Director of Petrobras Energía Participaciones S.A..  Rogerio Manso Da Costa Reis has ceased to serve in the same position for Petroleo Brasileiro S.A. PETROBRAS, indirect controlling company, resulting in his separation from service at the Company's Board of Directors.
