ITEM 8.01 - Other Events
The Eberhard Manufacturing Division of The Eastern Company recently
received a purchase order and notification of an additional order from
Armor Holdings, Inc. for a total of 25,700 door
latching system components to be used in a project to retro-fit
military Humvees. These systems will retro-fit 6,425 Humvees as part of
the military's up-armor program in order to provide additional troop
protection. These purchase orders will result in approximately $15.5
million in sales for the Eberhard Division between September and
December 2006.
