On July 8, 2008, Chesapeake Energy Corporation (the “Company”) filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission a preliminary prospectus supplement containing information regarding expected financial results for the 2008 second quarter.  This information, which appears under the captions "Prospectus Supplement Summary─Recent Developments" and "Risk Factors─Our hedging activities may reduce the realized prices received for our natural gas and oil sales and require us to provide collateral for hedging liabilities," is attached hereto as exhibit 99.1.
