BLOCX. will be making significant adjustments to its network. As a POW currency that is minable, BLOCX. is going to switch its algorithm from X11 to Autolykos2, shifting from an ASIC algorithm to GPU-minable only. Notably, this algorithm is the GPU-sustainable algorithm currently used by ERGO, making BLOCX. the second blockchain ever to use the same hashing algorithm. This switch happens for two reasons:
Decentralization - Changing the algorithm to GPU-minable and ASIC-resistant ensures decentralization. This is a crucial reason for the algorithm change to GPU-minable only, as it allows people to directly rent or list their GPUs, CPUs, and storage on the marketplace.
B. Marketplace: The Next Big Thing Around the Corner?
Nowadays, available marketplaces require some technical knowledge. How is BLOCX. different and more convenient?
BLOCX. Marketplace differentiates itself right from the start by offering two methods for adding machines, so even people without any prior technical knowledge can come and rent out their machines. It's a first of its kind.
Method 1 — Automated Machine Adding Downloadable Client created by BLOCX.TECH. When you open the client, it runs in the background. From this small client window, users can assign how much of their CPU they want to rent out, how many GPUs from their computer are assigned to this so-called rental machine, and how much storage is given. It's made pretty straightforward. Once you have assigned your resources and named your device, simply log in to our marketplace and click on “Add Machine.” After that, all the inputs will be automatically filled in, and all that is left for you to do is set the pricing and availability.
Method 2 — Headless Machine or Manual Adding The second option involves devices that either do not have a graphical interface or operate with terminals. For instance, if a person has a large number of GPUs or even a mining farm, they can rent them out by manually installing these dependencies on the server. After that, follow the commands to decide your allocation, or you can simply allocate it all. All the commands are found in the Wizard.

Their system/client detects this and automatically updates the IP within the marketplace, ensuring the device remains listed and operates as it should.
