Shotgun coach Jordan Hintz said he feels confident that Sapp will be an asset to the Hillsdale College shotgun team.

“I'm incredibly excited to have Jordan with us. He has a record of success, and I look forward to seeing the accomplishments he will have both individually and as a member of the Chargers shotgun team,” said Hintz.

Sapp topped the podium in Germany, along with teammate Aidin Burns, by securing gold in the men’s skeet team event. Sapp then faced his own teammates, Benjamin Keller and Grace Fulton, in the mixed skeet team competition where he earned his second medal.

“Germany was an amazing trip. Being a part of the USA Shooting Junior World team has been a fantastic experience,” said Sapp. “Aiden, Ben and I were able to shoot an incredible qualifying score for the team event, which led us into the gold medal match … Bringing home two World Cup medals for team USA is a surreal experience.”

The Hal and Jean Glassen Memorial Foundation’s partnership with the Junior USAS team laid the foundation for Sapp’s victory. The team trained at the John A. Halter Shooting Sports Education Center due to funding provided by the foundation. The Glassen Foundation also sponsored Hillsdale College’s first international skeet field.

“I’m looking forward to becoming a freshman at Hillsdale College in the fall,” said Sapp. “I’m blessed to be a part of Hillsdale’s shooting team where I will train to represent Hillsdale College and team USA.”

The Junior USAS team will next compete in the ISSF World Championships in Osijek, Croatia, from September 19, through October 25.
