The reunion event, which was attended by the Triad region’s Asian community, took place in one of the venue’s many ballrooms and featured a fun-filled night with both music and food.

Inspired by the AmerAsian reunion event, the Meridian Convention Center’s latest service updates include making it easier for outside vendors to access the facilities for more bespoke catering and decoration experiences. This further adds to the venue’s reputation for flexibility to accommodate a variety of set-ups according to the individual needs of each event booking.
The AmerAsian Community reunion was held in the Meridian’s Seville Ballroom: an elegant, 8,200 square-foot venue which can host over 250 guests for a banquet seating and up to 500 people for a theatre-style staging. The AmerAsian reunion organizers opted for the former set-up allowing for a social meal, as well as space for a band to perform during the event.
“It was a truly magical night,” said one event attendee. “The ballroom was so stylish and you really felt they went all out for us. The band sounded amazing - they have such great acoustics.”
The entire event set-up and clean-up was organized by the Meridian Convention Center, taking the stress off of the organizers of the reunion. Meridian provided gold banquet chairs to compliment the mix of long and round tables requested by the AmerAsian Community. They also provided some atmospheric touches with customizable up-lighting and assistance in the set-up of the photo backdrop which the event organizers positioned on the stage. This allowed attendees to capture some magical photographic memories of the event.
“We’re always delighted to host organizations who are looking to create something special for their members,” explained a Meridian Convention Center spokesperson. “Our new services include full access to the facilities for outside vendors, allowing the catering and decor to really match the overall aesthetic of your event.”
