This is an event when the global attention focused on the world’s jewelry capital, when design pioneers talked to brand experts, when product strength collided with brand power, and when Chinese tradition merged with international trends. Recently, a global jewelry masters’ high-level discussion—2023 Shuibei (Summer) China Jewelry Industry Practical Development Forum (short for Shuibei Forum) was successfully held in Shenzhen.
The forum was guided by the People’s Government of Luohu District of Shenzhen, sponsored by the Shenzhen Gold and Jewelry Culture Research Association, and co-organized by the Innovative Design and R&D Platform of 100 Global Jewelry Designers.
The Boao level Shuibei Forum in the jewelry industry has hit the pain points of China’s jewelry industry. It invited many international and domestic renowned jewelry experts to carry out professional in-depth discussions on “how to build the core brand competitiveness, how to build the product strength of luxury brands, how to shape the brand tone, how to enter the international top auction market for jewelry, how to integrate China-Chic into the international trend” and so on.
Corentin Quideau, the co-founder of Cartier Joaillerie International, focused on building brand power and emphasized the core elements of it; Bulgari brand expert Amanda Triosi highlighted the 3 essential roles in brand building, namely creative design director, product manager, and PR; Ronny Isaac Totah, founder of Gem Genève, talked about the relationship between brand’s achievement and important international exhibitions; Giuseppe Univochi, art director of LV (18 years) and SKP, shared about the important relationship between visual presentation and brand power; Alessio Boschi, Italian top jewelry design master, talked about how design promotes product strength.
As the finale of the forum, the roundtable brought together an industrial think tank with both international and domestic perspectives. The focus was on “The Survival and Opportunities of Regional Brands”. We conducted in-depth discussions on the issues raised by the host, such as “how to break through the developmental bottleneck of regional brands, traditional jewelry stores + jewelry clubs, time-honored brand building and inheritance, taking advantage of the situation—discussing opportunities for regional brands, upgrading store image to help brands advance, etc.”.

This thought-provoking feast that surged with leaping ideas, unleashed creative passion, and condensed collaborative forces, has unprecedentedly gathered top figures in the global jewelry industry to provide insights into China’s jewelry and fashion industries.
