Corporate Water Stewardship: Global Perspectives Across the Maturity Curve
May 20, 2021
10:00-11:00 a.m. EST
About the event
Every company must start somewhere on their water stewardship journey. Strategies like setting contextual water targets, valuing the benefits of water stewardship activities, and assessing risks using tools such as Aqueduct help companies measure, manage, and mitigate water challenges.
This webinar will highlight three companies at different places on the "water stewardship maturity curve" — the trajectory companies can take from measuring water challenges to spurring collective actions in their basins of operations.
Professionals from Ansell, International Paper, and Procter & Gamble will give insight into their history of water stewardship, current strategy, and where the future will take them. Participants will leave this webinar with the confidence to begin, or continue, their journey of water action — whether at a company, in local or national government, or at a nonprofit or development agency.
International Paper and World Resources Institute
International Paper is a member of the Aqueduct Alliance, a coalition of organizations at the forefront of thought leadership in water stewardship.
As part of our Vision 2030 goal for Sustainable Operations, we have committed to reducing our water use by 25% and implementing context-based water management plans at all mils. Our objective is to advance water stewardship in the places where we live and work and to improve the long-term sustainability of shared water resources. International Paper leverages the WRI Aqueduct Water Risk Atlas tool as part of our annual facility water risk assessments, which inform our comprehensive water stewardship strategy.
