Fuller Jr., an American powerboat racer from Alabama, has been a leading competitor in the sport with countless national and world championships. He has raced all over the country, most notably racing 24 hours at Daytona and racing in over 25 races in the IMSAGTP circuit. Early Beginnings

Hugh D. Fuller Jr. began his career in car racing in the early 1990s. Being behind the wheel of a race car was his first glimpse of life in the fast lane. Fuller competed in several races including the Indy Grand Prix and the Grand Prix of Atlanta in 1994. During his car racing days, he learned the importance of speed and control and how to utilize the two for a perfect balance.

From Car Racing to Powerboating

Hugh D. Fuller Jr. took the powerboat racing world by storm when he began his career in the early 2000s. With a background in car racing, he was sure to succeed in the dynamic world of powerboat racing. Hugh Fuller quickly made his mark as an exciting and talented powerboat driver - being victorious in 5 national championships and 2 world championships and winning Super Cat national and world championships every year from 2001 to 2003.

Career Highlights

It's no secret that Hugh D. Fuller Jr. found success in the world of powerboat racing. He has six world championships and two national titles under his belt. Fuller has created astounding teamwork relationships with men like John Tomlinson and Rich Wyatt, who have both helped him reach some of his greatest career achievements.

At the start of the 2000s, Hugh Fuller and John Tomlinson joined forces as a driver/throttleman duo in the Super Cat professional offshore powerboat race and successfully won, beating out all of their competition by a longshot. Now, the partners share six titles together, three national championships and three world championships, proving their success as a team in the game.

Hugh Fuller continued to be victorious in other competitions including the Bright House Super Boat Offshore Championship with partner Rich Wyatt, in yet again another dynamic driver/throttleman duo. The pair worked together on Team Cintron with Fuller as the driver and led them to another career-winning triumph.

Hugh Fuller and Rich Wyatt were also successful in the OPA Championships in November 2019, as team DF Young. The DF Young team had two consecutive wins, bringing them to their championship title.
