Joey Abdullah, Market Leader with Movement Mortgage, Interviewed on the Elite Real Estate Leaders Podcast

Joey Abdullah discusses the benefits of the VA mortgage loan program.

Listen to the interview on the Business Innovators Radio Network: https://businessinnovatorsradio.com/interview-with-joey-abdullah-market-leader-with-movement-mortgage/

This episode emphasizes the importance of effective communication skills and empathy for mortgage lenders. Joey Abdullah shares his personal experience of buying a house and realizing the significance of providing guidance and advice to borrowers. He stresses the need for mortgage lenders to be able to teach, educate, and empathize with borrowers to ensure they understand each step of the process.

Furthermore, Joey Abdullah discusses how mortgage lenders work with a diverse range of scenarios and buyers, not just limited to first-time homebuyers or those looking to renovate their homes. He suggests that specializing or “niche down” can be advantageous for mortgage lenders to better serve a specific type of borrower.

Joey mentioned a common phrase “The riches are in the niches” and explained the importance of narrowing down his focus. Joey acknowledges that although it may seem like he is sacrificing potential business by targeting a specific niche, it can be highly beneficial. Specifically, he remarks that his natural niche is veterans, particularly those purchasing their first house.

Joey Abdullah shared: “I’ve always heard the terms of “the riches are in the niches” and “you should niche down”. And I think sometimes it’s hard to do that because you feel like you’re going to give up some business, but an extremely natural niche for me is veterans with VA loans. I find that the sweet spot is a veteran buying their first house. That’s the bullseye on the target that I’m aiming for on that side.”
