Abigail Tiefenthaler Shares Expert Insights on Growing Businesses in Uncertain Times on ABC TV

Abigail  Tiefenthaler, who has honed her skills working with Fortune 100 clients, highlighted three main problems entrepreneurs face today: a lack of strategy, time constraints, and not taking advantage of available technologies. She emphasized the importance of having a well-defined prospect journey, which she believes is often overlooked and undervalued by business owners.

“The prospect journey, or the prospect path, is often underlooked and undervalued by business owners,” said Tiefenthaler.

“Not all marketing activity is created equal, and you have to speak to your prospects where they are in their decision-making. That’s why the prospect path is so important, because one person may take one day, and another person might take 10 years to identify that your services are the services they’re looking for now.”

Tiefenthaler discussed the 15-step approach to the prospect path, which is outlined in her eBook, “15 Steps to Getting Clients When Nothing You’ve Tried Before Has Worked.” This approach is designed to help businesses create a clear path to get clients by addressing the foundational aspects of strategy and understanding systems.

One key piece of advice Tiefenthaler offered to business owners is the importance of consistency and persistence in messaging. She explained that it takes time for audiences to fully absorb and understand a message, so business owners should not give up too quickly when trying new marketing tactics.

She also emphasized that many business owners are missing out on the use of technology.

“We’re not taking advantage of the technologies that are available to streamline the marketing process so that you do have more qualified prospects showing up at your sales table, because they are separate sides of the same coin if you will, very distinct differences between marketing and sales,” she said.
