Workplace Compliance, Policy, and HR Expert Kate Bischoff Joins The Workforce Institute at UKG Board of Advisors

By: via Business Wire

The Workforce Institute at UKG, a think tank that helps organizations drive performance by addressing human capital management (HCM) issues that affect both hourly and salaried employees, today announced that employment attorney and HR professional Kate Bischoff has joined its distinguished board of advisors.

Bischoff founded tHRive Law & Consulting LLC in 2016 with the goal of helping organizations balance compliance with innovation to achieve success. tHRive partners with companies to develop procedures, policies, trainings, and strategies to meet all their organizational goals while staying on top of constantly changing legislative requirements.

Prior to starting her own business, Bischoff served as HR officer for Consulate General Jerusalem and U.S. Embassy Lusaka, Zambia. Bischoff has been recognized by The New York Times, CNN.com, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, National Public Radio, and other journalistic sources as a leading authority on harassment, technology in the workplace, and employment law. She is also co-host of the Hostile Work Environment podcast.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kate to our board,” said Chris Mullen, executive director of The Workforce Institute at UKG. “Her deep knowledge of employment law and the HR profession give her a unique perspective on some of the thorniest issues that HR professionals face in their daily jobs. We look forward to learning from her insights and adding her important voice to our cadre of thought leaders.”

Bischoff’s first contribution to The Workforce Institute, “Should Employers Require Employees to Come Back to the Office Post-Pandemic?”, is available now.

Bischoff earned her B.A. in political science at The University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and her J.D. at William Mitchell College of Law, where she now teaches as an adjunct professor.

“I’m so excited to join this amazing board of HR thought leaders and practitioners,” said Bischoff. “The last year has been so difficult for so many employers and employees. Now is an exciting time to try to help organizations move confidently into post-pandemic work life and do well by their people in the process.”

Founded in 2007, The Workforce Institute at UKG is known for innovative research on signature issues like unplanned absenteeism, employee burnout, boomerang employees, and trust in the modern workplace. The Workforce Institute has published four books with a special focus on the employee experience of frontline and hourly workers, and curates a biweekly blog that features content from its board of advisors and other guest contributors about the issues impacting work life.
