Christian Hosoi leads a roster of pro skateboarders eager to claim victory in ‘best trick’ competition this weekend as part of family event at Mather Skatepark

The “Bones Love Milk” skate team, sponsored by the California Milk Processor Board (creators of got milk?), is hosting an elite skateboarding competition event at Mather Skatepark in the Sacramento area as part of its popular Gravity Tour.

The event will be open to the public on Saturday, October 7^th from 11am to 5pm and will feature skater “best trick” contests at all levels, open skate sessions, pro skater demos and family fun – all taking place at Mather Skatepark in Sacramento County.

Gravity Tour is a celebration of skate culture in which leading athletes show off their best skateboarding tricks and inspire the audience with each of their signature styles. This public spectacle will have activities for the whole family to enjoy and will shine a spotlight on the world and culture of skateboarding. In addition to the skateboarding events, an Arts and Crafts zone sponsored by local art store Strubdrry will feature legendary artist Pops Hosoi doing a live painting session. Pops will also feature in a live musical performance after a SkateMD demonstration.

To refresh and energize the skaters and attendees, a Milk Bar sponsored by Crystal Creamery will feature influencer flair mixologist, Lee Dawn Hershey, who will be doing flips and tricks with the bottles and serving up milk mocktails. Floof Cotton Candy Stand has created an exclusive milk concoction for the event, while Sweet Lizard will offer fresh baked cookies to pair with the refreshing ice cold milk. Local food vendors will also be on hand.
