Partnership with Subaru Share the Love® Helps to Fulfill the Wishes of Children with Critical Illnesses

Capitol Subaru, part of Northern California’s largest family-owned automotive group Del Grande Dealer Group (DGDG), recently raised more than $56,000 for Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area, a non-profit organization that fulfills the wishes of children who have critical illnesses. Each year, Subaru gives back to the community by donating $250 for each Subaru purchased or leased during the Subaru Share the Love® event period. “Our partners at DGDG’s Capitol Subaru really understand the impact that wishes have on families in their community,” said Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area Chief Development Officer Kathleen Backus. “Their commitment to Make-A-Wish goes beyond their generous cash donations; DGDG team members also help with granting and enhancing wishes when they can. We are grateful for their ongoing support.”

From bedroom makeovers to dream trips to Disneyland, DGDG’s Capitol Subaru has raised enough money to fund 32 wishes for critically ill children and their families since the partnership’s inception. The average cost of a wish in the Greater Bay Area is $10,000.

“Giving back to our community continues to be at the core of the Del Grande Dealer Group and we are so happy with how our partnership with Make-A-Wish has grown over the years,” said DGDG CEO Jeremy Beaver. “We are so grateful that we get to play a part in helping grant wishes for deserving wish kids.”

In addition to national efforts, DGDG continues to support their local communities through DGDG Does Good, the charitable arm of the Del Grande Dealer Group. Through financial contributions, collaborations with nonprofit organizations, and employee volunteerism, DGDG Does Good brings positive lasting change to the community. To date, nearly $1 million has been donated to worthy causes and recipients.
