Innovative programs, skills-mapped curriculum, and student success shape its distinctive impact

She says the structure and support of the University’s MBA program was a vital component of her success. “When I first learned about the MBA program, I was a single mom and a recent college graduate,” she shares. “I was looking for a flexible program to accommodate my life as a new mother, so I enrolled in a hybrid-MBA program and was amazed at the networking opportunities in the program. I enjoyed my MBA so much that I later enrolled in a graduate marketing certificate program, which furthered my skills.”

Moody, a University of Phoenix MBA graduate, has excelled as a business consultant and strategist, dedicated to fostering positive change in underserved communities. She says she still appreciates the diverse connections made during her MBA program, which she feels enhanced her ability to understand and communicate effectively with communities through various marketing strategies.

The MBA program at University of Phoenix, in addition to the standard online degree offering, now offers a competency-based delivery model, which on average allows students with eligible credits and relevant experience to complete their degree at a lower cost, have a greater monthly credit earning pace and the opportunity to complete their degree sooner than standard program counterparts.

In addition to the competency-based model, University of Phoenix offers an innovative skills-mapped curriculum, focused on the working adult learner, has culminated in 100 percent of associate, bachelor and master’s degree programs open for new enrollment now being fully skills-mapped. University of Phoenix has issued over 420,000 badges since September 2021, for skills obtained in undergraduate, graduate, and professional development courses.

The University’s transition to a skills-mapped curriculum helps ensure that students are identifying and acquiring skills in weeks, rather than years, yielding value from their education as they progress through courses rather than just at the point of graduation.
