The Houston medical community is invited to attend an Open House event on Dec. 3 from 3:00-7:00 PM
Care Access is hosting an Open House event for physicians and healthcare professionals at their new Health & Research Center in Houston. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the facility, meet the team of clinical research professionals, and learn about how they can work together to improve access to health resources and research opportunities for all communities. The Open House takes place on December 3 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 2525 W Bellfort Avenue, Suite 160, in Houston.
Care Access seeks to partner with local physicians to offer patients no-cost health screenings, including tests for Lp(a), A1c, lipids, creatinine, and more. Patients will also learn about clinical trial opportunities that could benefit them, their families, and their communities.
Through the Future of Medicine program, Care Access has made no-cost Heart & Kidney Health Screenings available to the public at the Health & Research Center and community events across the Greater Houston area. Future of Medicine features three key components:
- No-Cost Screening: Tests for certain heart and kidney risks, including Lp(a), to provide individuals valuable information about their health.
- Health Education: Information to raise awareness about cardiovascular health and the importance of clinical research in advancing medical treatments.
- Clinical Trial Opportunities: Assistance in finding local clinical trial opportunities and promoting community engagement in medical research.
Care Access opened the Houston location in collaboration with local community leaders and healthcare providers seeking to make health resources more accessible to area residents.
"I'm excited to be part of an initiative that brings vital health screenings directly to our community, helping to identify silent risks like Lp(a) that can significantly increase heart risks for patients," said Dr. Ali Bajwa, Principal Investigator.
