Brooklyn Fare Kitchen & Market in the historic Archive Building

New York, New York – Brooklyn Fare Kitchen & Market, located at 666 Greenwich Avenue in the West Village’s historic Archive Building, has become a cornerstone of the community. The 15,000-square-foot store that opened in 2016 features a plethora of grocery items, including everyday essentials as well as a wide variety of specialty and international products, prepared foods, grab-and-go items, and fresh baked breads and produce. The company’s second location to open in Manhattan, Brooklyn Fare’s West Village store has become a staple in the community.

Family owned and operated, owner Moe Issa recalls when the market first opened in the Village, replacing the former tenant. “We were so excited to become part of the rich fabric that makes up the Village, and it’s still our honor to serve the residents each and every day, whether it be for a morning coffee and croissant, or a weekly grocery run. Serving our community is what we love to do!”

A trusted name in the local grocery scene, Brooklyn Fare offers weekly deals, in-store promotions, manager’s specials, an online blog, as well as online shopping with free local delivery. Additionally, the grocer supports WIC, SNAP, and EBT programs.

About Brooklyn Fare

Founded in 2009 in Downtown Brooklyn, Brooklyn fare is the vision of Moe Issa, who was raised in the neighborhood and realized that there was a need for a quality grocer after driving a Pepsi truck route in the 1980’s and 90’s. With his commitment to bringing an outstanding selection at affordable prices to the community, Moe opened his first store at the corner of Schermerhorn and Hoyt Streets. In addition to groceries, the Brooklyn store also housed the celebrated tasting menu restaurant, Chef’s Table at Brooklyn Fare, which became borough’s only Michelin three-star restaurant before it relocated to Manhattan in 2016.

Family-owned and operated, Brooklyn Fare merges Moe’s vision of providing high quality foods with familiar products in a convenient and approachable shopping experience. The concept took hold, and he successfully opened his first Manhattan location at 431 West 37th Street in the Hudson Yards neighborhood followed by a second at 666 Greenwich Village in the historic Archive Building. The newest location at 75 West End is Brooklyn Fare’s first store on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. For more information, please visit www.BrooklynFare.com.
