Risen Energy Has been Awarded the First HJT Solar Cell Certificate by TÜV Rheinland for its HJT 210 Solar Cell

By: Get News

March 19, 2024 - Recently, Risen Energy announced that its HJT 210 Hyper-ion solar cell had passed the rigorous tests and obtained the first HJT solar cell certificate issued by TÜV Rheinland, an international third-party organization of testing, inspection, and certification.

Risen Energy’s HJT Hyper-ion solar cells passed the technical standard tests conducted by TÜV Rheinland according to the issued standards by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), including IEC 60904-1:2020, IEC/TS 60904-1-2:2019, IEC 60904-7:2019, IEC 60904-8:2014, IEC 60891:2021, IEC 63202-1:2019, and IEC/TS 63202-4:2022. The product performed excellently throughout the testing period, and obtained the certification successfully after passing the tests.

Risen Energy’s HJT 210 solar cells are adopted in the ultra-low-carbon and ultra-high-efficiency Hyper-ion heterojunction (HJT) modules, which has not only passed various conventional IEC performance and reliability tests but also the threefold IEC61215&61730 stringent tests and certifications. Thanks to several frontier technologies such as ultra-thin wafer with double-sided microcrystalline, low-silver paste material, 0BB solar cells, and Hyper-Link stress-free interconnection, the efficiency of HJT Hyper-ion solar cells can reach as 26.2%, with an extremely stable temperature coefficient and a high bifacial factor of 85%±10%. Leveraging on industry-leading 100μm ultra-thin cell technology and low-temperature technics, the carbon footprint can be less than 400 kg eq CO2/kWc, demonstrating remarkable environmental protection benefits.

Dr. Yang, President of Risen Energy’s Institute of Global Photovoltaics, said: “As the latest products, HJT Hyper-ion modules and cells have the advanced characteristics of higher yield and lower carbon emissions. Compared to other mainstream products on the market, they offer higher power generation, not only resulting in lower LCOE but also achieving more carbon emission reductions and carbon value. Risen Energy will continually commit to promote the upgrade and development of photovoltaic technology and products, assist customers in achieving the 'low-carbon' goals and lead the whole society into the era of carbon neutral.”
