Cleveland, Ohio – August 26, 2024 – The groundbreaking Girl Boss Red Flags Podcast has been nominated for honors in the coaching category at the 2024 Women in Podcasting Awards.

Presented by the Women in Podcasting Network, the Women in Podcasting Awards celebrates the remarkable contributions of women podcasters worldwide.

Hosted by Erin Billings and Tay Francis and inspired by their firsthand experiences of being scammed, Girl Boss Red Flags sheds light on the seedy underbelly of the unregulated online business and coaching industries. The podcast aims to empower listeners with the knowledge they need to protect themselves when buying online.

“We are honored to receive this nomination,” said co-host Tay Francis. “The online business industry has operated unchecked for far too long, and it’s harming the people it should be helping. We are committed to helping others avoid the pain we experienced.”

The podcast features insights from experts who unpack complex topics such as gaslighting, narcissism, manipulation, and other harmful online business practices.

Heather Wylde, an Ethical Sales Strategist and featured expert said, "Coaching is a powerful force for good on this planet but I've been appalled at the sleazy tactics some coaches use in sales and marketing. I am beyond grateful to Erin and Tay for taking such a strong stand in leading this long-overdue conversation."

In addition to expert commentary, the podcast has become a safe space for survivors to share their heartbreaking stories about unethical service providers.

“Girl Boss Red Flags is giving a voice to the multitude of humans who have experienced trauma over the last several years at the hands of the coaching industry,” shared Dr. Lee Cordell, founder of the Institute for Trauma and Psychological Safety and a featured expert on the podcast. “[Erin and Tay] are creating a source of healing and education for how we can be better, more trauma-informed coaches and business owners.”

More than just highlighting red flags, the podcast also shares green flags—positive indicators to look for when hiring a coach, consultant, or service provider. Each episode equips listeners with tangible advice to help them make informed purchasing decisions.

Winners of the Women in Podcasting Awards will be announced on October 19, 2024. Fans can vote for Girl Boss Red Flags in the coaching category here.
