Interfaith Religious Literature Immersive Reading | Sacred Texts Platform Update

Interfaith religious reading software Ocean announces its new interface with improved usability and functionality. Readers can now easily select their preferred sacred classical text from a variety of religions with an easy-to-use slide gallery.

The improved user interface allows readers to select their desired religious text and then read entire passages through immersive reading. This method of reading combines the ear and eye so that readers hear the text being narrated while also seeing it. This allows for better comprehension.

Ocean updated its design to help more people understand their religious texts better. The interfaith library features several texts from different religions including Hinduism, Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Jainism, Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism, Christianity, and Islam. All books are narrated by professional voice talents and are aligned word for word.

Ocean has also recently released new texts such as “Forty Hadith of Nawawi” and “Constitution of Medina”. Its Islamic religious text selection has more than 70 audiobooks, with dozens of renditions of the Holy Qur’an. Though the text remains the same, as spoken by the Prophet Mohammed, readers can select various versions narrated by different people. This way, they can customize their religious experience and immerse themselves in their chosen sacred text.

This is particularly important when reading religious books. Recent data suggest that immersive reading for faith improvement helps individuals better understand their beliefs, become more confident in their religion, and even support their fluency in English or whatever language the text is written in.

Ocean’s interfaith library may even support those with learning difficulties, as immersive reading helps students with dyslexia decode passages faster. Readers may add notes to their chosen text, which assists in better recall. These notes may be filtered and organized for presentation or study.

Ocean can be downloaded at no cost on the Apple Store or Google Play store. The reader can be accessed on any device and does not require any additional extension.

A company spokesperson said, "Ocean is a custom ebook reader designed for exploration and study of the sacred literature of the world's religious traditions. It provides an immersive audio-integrated reading experience and useful study and research tools."
