The Hereford Times Health & Social Care Awards took place on Thursday, October 3rd and saw awards across twelve different healthcare categories. It was an evening to remember for Ashberry Care Homes, as the company saw one of its care homes sweep the floor with two incredible awards.
Holmer Court has always been one of the leading care homes in Hereford, and it re-established this fact with the Care Home Worker Award and the Health Care Team Award in 2024. These awards rounded off an unbelievable night with the CEO and CFO of Ashberry Care Homes in attendance to see Holmer Court collect their trophies.
Three Award-Winning Years In A Row For Holmer Court
Holmer Court’s journey at the Hereford Times Health and Social Care Awards started in 2022. Back then, they were crowned Care Home of the Year - but this was only the beginning. In 2023, the care home claimed two more awards: the Dementia Carer Award, which was awarded to Becky, the Wellbeing Coordinator, and the Care Home Worker Award - won by Richard, the Maintenance Officer.
These awards firmly cemented Holmer Court as a beacon of exceptional care and dedication within the community, and they’ve been backed up by two more awards in 2024. Jeny Clarke won the Care Home Worker Award, which is a true celebration of individuals who go above and beyond to provide outstanding care. It's the award all care home workers want to win, and Jeny was noted for her commitment to enhancing the well-being of those in her care.
The Holmer Court Team also picked up the Health Care Team Award. This award highlights teams that collaborate seamlessly to improve patient care, and Holmer Court won this thanks to its remarkable ability to work together and communicate effectively across organisational boundaries.
With three highly successful years behind the team already, Holmer Court hopes to continue this run in 2025 to prove further it is the best care establishment in the area.
