The project was part of a larger initiative to transition the civil maintenance fleet to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by upgrading to aluminium ute service body canopies. These ute canopies also offer lower fuel and maintenance costs, as well as improved driver comfort and performance.
Hidrive, a leading Australian manufacturer of service body canopies for commercial vehicles, was selected as the preferred supplier for the project after a rigorous tender process. Hidrive worked closely with Service Stream and SA Water, to deliver a customised solution that met the specific requirements of each stakeholder.
