The Power of Now in Baseball - Free for Athletes, Coaches, and Parents

By: PRLog

Unlocking Mental Resilience in Sports: A Free Guide to Mindfulness and Self-Confrontation for Athletes, Coaches, and Parents.

NEW YORK - Oct. 12, 2024 - PRLog -- Press Release: The Power of Now in Baseball - Free for Athletes, Coaches, and Parents

As the author of The Power of Now in Baseball, I am proud to make this book available for free because the philosophy of self-confrontation that it advocates requires continual work, commitment, and discipline—there are no shortcuts. The mental side of sports is often overlooked, and this book is designed to provide a practical, in-depth guide to harnessing the power of mindfulness and present-moment focus on the field. The book is ideal for players, coaches, parents, and athletes who want to excel not only in baseball but in life.

As a Junior Varsity Baseball coach at Berkeley Carroll in Park Slope, Brooklyn, helping the Varsity team in Fall 2024, I have seen firsthand how mental resilience and self-confrontation can elevate performance. These lessons are not just for young athletes but are crucial for adults as well—whether you are a coach, parent, or player.

My journey in coaching spans over 30 years, including a pivotal role in 2008 when I helped the Morris High School Baseball team win the PSAL B City Championship as a pitching coach. I currently coach for The New York Gothams, where I share my passion and experience with the New York City baseball community. What I've learned is that true mastery requires a relentless focus on the present, and that's what this book aims to teach.

One of the paradoxes of offering The Power of Now in Baseball for free is how it's perceived—often, people undervalue something they don't have to pay for. However, the real payment here is the internal work. Self-confrontation is hard, and it's something that both adults and teenagers often avoid. The commitment to growth through discomfort, facing challenges head-on, and embracing failure as a path to success is the true cost.

I'm making this book freely available because I believe these lessons should be accessible to all. If you're ready to invest in yourself, this book is your starting point.
