Positively Caviar Hosts Flourish and Grow, 2nd Annual Immersive Back-to-School Mental Wellness Workshop

The esteemed non-profit is equipping an empowering middle school-aged youth with experiential tools to increase well-being and disrupt mental health stigmas as they head into a new semester

(PRUnderground) August 1st, 2023

Positively Caviar, Inc is proud to announce its 2nd Annual Free Immersive Back-to-School Mental Wellness Workshop “Flourish & Grow” on August 12th to help middle school-aged youth gain the tools they need to increase well-being and disrupt mental health stigmas.

In the United States alone, over 8.4 million adolescents struggle with a mental disorder, often without the help or treatment they require. In actuality, only about 20% receive adequate care and resources to counter stress and develop healthy coping skills into adulthood. However, Positively Caviar is on a purpose-driven mission to come alongside mental health programs to complement them with optimism, positivity, and accessibility for all within the Greater Baltimore Area.

The free workshop will be held at the Under Armour (UA) House at 1100 E Fayette St commencing at 10 AM and concluding at 2 PM. Check-in will open at 9:15 AM and will welcome youth in grades 6-8 throughout the community. Lunch and snacks will be provided for all in attendance, and all children will walk away with free school supplies for their participation.

Positively Caviar was created to shine a light on mental wellness and encourage youth to open up about their emotions and step away from stigmas. Leveraging evidence-based methods, the organization seeks to help dismantle the damaging mental health stigmas faced in underserved and BIPOC communities, which in turn affects coping behaviors.

“Our Flourish and Grow Workshop creates space for an immersive and welcoming educational experience that is both fun and accessible for all youth in the area”, says Nikki Abraham, Chief Marketing Officer. “We’re excited to continue bridging the gap between today’s youth, preventative mental wellness coping techniques, and mental resilience.”

Through proof of concept, dedication to innovation, and unwavering commitment to community, Positively Caviar’s purpose-driven vision has come to fruition as they prepare for the 2nd annual immersive back-to-school mental wellness workshop.
