The company says that the acquisition will significantly accelerate its development of advanced autonomy capabilities.

Planck is a technology company based in San Diego, California that develops medium unmanned aircraft systems. Its main focus will now be on integrating flight autonomy solutions into AeroVironment’s offerings to enable safe, autonomous takeoff and landing from moving platforms on land or at sea in GPS-denied environments.
