Don Pingston's “Proof Required” Ready to Thrill Booklovers at World's Largest Library Event

By: WebWire

Don Pingston's mystery thriller book “Proof Required” is all set and ready for exhibition by ReadersMagnet at the American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference and Exhibition on June 24-27, 2022, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Washington DC, USA.

This suspenseful book starts when a young mother that's been physically abused by her husband needs to leave her marriage to save herself and her daughter. She has nowhere to go. She has no friends or family around, so she asks a stranger for help.

The brilliant author Donald Pingston spins a fast-moving tale that leaves the readers wondering until the very end about who lives and who dies in the drama he has crafted. Don Pingston authored “Proof Required” to be more than simply a page-turning thriller but to shed awareness on how many people are suffering from domestic violence and how crucial it is that people take even a modest step to aid someone in need.

Pingston is not only a father and grandpa but also a volunteer at a local hospital, a retired businessman, and an author. “Proof Required” is the first novel he has written.

Don Pingston grew up in Michigan, where he raised a family with his wife, Judi. They were married for more than 50 years. Upon Don retiring from a career in construction and Judi retiring from a career in social work, they moved to Key West, Florida, to enjoy the island lifestyle.

Don began to focus on his writing and drew inspiration from Judi's experience in a women's shelter helping abused women. They had discussed for decades how the smallest act of kindness could help people in need. After Judi passed, Don felt a need to tell this story “Proof Required” and sensed her guiding hand on his shoulder.
