KLRN Explores the Future of Work - Locally and Nationally

SAN ANTONIO - August 27, 2021 - (Newswire.com)

KLRN Public Television, the PBS station serving South Central Texas, announces a nationally aligned project that explores the monumental shifts that have happened in the workplace and the resulting impact on both a local and national level.

Debuting in September, "Future of Work" is a three-part national PBS series exploring change in the workplace and the potential long-term effects on workers, employers, educators and communities across our country. KLRN localizes this conversation with a series of digital shorts featuring community members sharing their own stories - from overcoming the challenge of homelessness brought on by the pandemic to navigating the process of transitioning out of the military.

In addition to the on-air and digital series, KLRN is holding virtual Lunch and Learns in September that seek to highlight challenges and successes related to the workforce in our own community - from entering, to exiting, and everything in between. Hosted by Rebecca J. Viagran, Director of Workforce Development & Community Partnerships at Texas A&M San Antonio, these discussions feature advice and insight from a number of local organizations, along with informational resources available to the community.

"Future of Work" premieres Wednesday, September 1 at 9:00 p.m. on KLRN. Visit our website www.klrn.org/futureofwork to watch local shorts, join the discussions, explore educational resources, and more.
