Reggae And Dancehall Star Drops Half-a-Million on a House

By: PRLog

MIAMI - Feb. 12, 2022 - PRLog -- Ninety-nine miles from Hollywood California and known as the birthplace of country music, residents in the oil and agricultural city of Bakersfield California have a new member in their community. According to sources close to the deal, international reggae and dancehall star Melekel; purchased property in the area with an estimated value of five hundred and fifty thousand dollars. The house is a gorgeous two Storey, five-bedroom, three-bathroom 7,405 square feet. There is a music studio on the second floor with an amazing sunroom and jacuzzi on the back of the home. It has a large backyard with an outdoor kitchenette, two vehicle garage, an RV parking space and the main suite has a vaulted ceiling with walk in California closets.

Bakersfield has a long history dating to the eighteen hundred California gold rush, which started when the precious metal was found in the mountains North of what is present day Los Angeles. Back then, the city was considered a hub for many who came with hopes of getting rich. Visitors to the area often enjoyed musical performances by a local band, founded by a now famous country music pioneer. Many landmarks remain and the city has continued to grow; with a population somewhere around three hundred eighty-nine thousand residents, as last reported by the U.S. Census Bureau.

For the past two years, California real estate prices have increased at a record pace, as more people flock to the golden state to purchase their dream homes. Some areas of the state report a twenty five percent increase above market price, while buyers find themselves bidding against an average of eight to ten other prospective buyers. Cash bids tend to outbid all other offers in a seller's market. With interest rates likely to rise and the continued long-term effects of inflation on the economy, the trend in rising real estate prices is likely to continue.

The Reggae Star's rise to fame includes multiple singles released under the Island Def Jam distribution label and a Gold Record for the song Desperado, an Interscope digital distribution. His last full-length release Marriage to Dancehall, charted number one on reggaedancehallcharts.com; and songs from the album can still be heard in rotation on a variety of platforms. Melekel is currently in the studio recording new material for an upcoming podcast show entitled Conquer Day, for a major network. The desperado artist seems to have no problem betting on himself but investing in real estate, is hardly considered a risky move.
