As part of a new partnership with Rapid Reelz, Walid Chaya of Studio For Performing Arts LA is launching two new content creation courses for actors: “Actors Scene Creation 8-Week Demo Class” and “Actors Self-Tape Lab 7-Week On-Camera Class.” Both courses are crucial for new actors to develop their portfolios, book auditions, and network with other people in the industry.

The new courses include original demo scene and full production; filming with the director, director of photography, and crew; music and scoring; coaching and marketing with Walid Chaya; and consulting with Rapid Reelz demo partners, among others.
For actors ready to submit for professional castings and auditions, Walid recommends “Actors Scene Creation 8-Week Demo Class.” This course begins August 23 and will prepare actors on how to shoot their first film or television show. Walid will reveal industry secrets, acting techniques, and on-set production strategies to give students the leverage they need to beat the competition.
A competitive 2-minute scene for their demo reel is given at the end of the course, helping actors get noticed by casting directors and talent agents for booking acting roles. The all-inclusive 8-week course includes a portfolio review, writing session, script presentation, scene study, run-through and shoot day.
“Actors Self-Tape Lab 7-Week On-Camera Class” is recommended for more new actors or those who want to further improve their on-camera audition and self-tape skills. This course begins August 30 and helps actors enhance their self-tape recordings for castings and auditions. Students will be assigned scripts and coached by Walid, himself, for three scenes: including drama, comedy and a scene of choice. These videos will be emailed to the students two weeks after filming.
Both courses are tailored to each actor’s needs – from the selection of the material, to the weekly lessons, branding and professional guidance.
Due to the high intensity and personalized attention given in both courses, only a limited number of students will be accepted. Both courses will be held in Los Angeles, CA.
