Westwood Projects has been awarded the project to complete the fit-out works for Pelham Laboratories. The project will be fully managed by the company and is due to be completed in August 2022.

Westwood Projects is pleased to announce that they have begun fit-out works for Pelham Laboratories at Proxima Park, Waterlooville in Hampshire. A leading mezzanine floor and refurbishment contractor on the South Coast, Westwood Projects is due to complete the project in August.
The fit out is part of Pelham’s current growth plans to expand their manufacturing operations. The business secured the premises next door to their existing facility to double their available space. Pelham works with some of the UK’s biggest retailers, manufacturing and packaging their products.
As part of the fitout Westwood Projects will design, manufacture and install a new mezzanine floor. This will provide an additional 400m2 of usable space in the existing unit for the business to use.
The contractor is also installing partitioning which will form a new manufacturing area, quality control office, locker room and showers for Pelham Laboratories.
The manufacturing area will be constructed with floor to ceiling PVC hygienic cladding that will reach 6 metres high. All areas of the newly designed premises will have bespoke suspended ceilings, offering a high level of acoustic absorption.
Westwood Projects will also install resin flooring to the underside of the mezzanine surface as well as vinyl safety flooring in the shower rooms.
The contractor is managing every aspect of the building registration from the initial application through the issue of the completion certification. This includes working in partnership with LABC to manage the stage inspections and ensure that full compliance is met with current regulations.
