New Tobu Railway Tokyo Leisure Facility Openings in 2023

By: PRLog

PADEL TOKYO Mizumachi, a New Padel Court Racquet Sport Facility and Garden of Earth, a New Children's Playground, Both in Downtown "East Tokyo."

TOKYO, Japan - Jan. 12, 2023 - PRLog -- In 2023, Tobu Railway will open two new leisure facilities in Tokyo: PADEL TOKYO mizumachi, a new Padel Court Spanish-style racquet sport and Garden of the Earth, a new children's playground. Both venues will be located in the newly developing East Tokyo area.

The East Tokyo area is rapidly becoming the gateway from TOKYO SKYTREE TOWN to TOKYO mizumachi. TOKYO mizumachi is a waterfront community development based on the concept of "Live to Trip." In other words, "People, regions, and cultures come and go, spend time as if traveling, and travel as if living." Therefore, it's the ideal location for a dedicated space for this new sport that is rapidly gaining popularity around the world, especially in Europe and South America.

Says Mr. Hayano, Tobu spokesperson, "Padel Court's new East Tokyo opening is exciting. Since its opening, TOKYO mizumachi has become a place where visitors can encounter the charm of the downtown or Shitamachi area of Tokyo. This area is rooted in the local community, generating an array of interactions between residents and tourists from Japan and abroad. The opening of PADEL TOKYO mizumachi is expected to bring new interactions through sport, furthering the synergies between visitors and locals."

The New Children's Playground to open in Spring 2023, near Mizumachi in TOKYO Solamachi, commemorates Solamachi's 10th anniversary. It's part of the renovation of TOKYO Solamachi's entire 5th floor. The new asobiba or playground is the first to be seen in a commercial facility in Japan. It's a new playground concept that is a cross between the nostalgic playgrounds of old days, where people do not watch videos or play video games, while still incorporating cutting-edge technology. The main site on the renewed floor will be Chikyu no Niwa, literally "Garden of the Earth." It will be operated by Aeon Fantasy Co., Ltd. and will allow visitors to play indoors with sand and large equipment just like in regular outdoor parks! It will also incorporate and borrow the adjacent outdoor space for hands-on nature-oriented events and Development Goal (SDG) educational programs. In addition, the venue is designed to maximize enjoyment by assigning "Toy Master" staff to support children's play with educational toys carefully selected from around the world.
