Award-winning author Kristy Woodson Harvey has announced new dates for her ongoing novel release tour.

As she travels the country celebrating the upcoming release of her latest novel, “Summer of Songbirds”, Kristy Woodson Harvey will be visiting a number of public libraries. These newly scheduled appearances will take place over the course of July in a number of different locations across the South.

Harvey has scheduled these appearances to emphasize the importance of public libraries to book lovers everywhere. These events are being held in order to raise money for each location; ticket sales for certain appearances will go toward the library where the event is being held, while others will give guests the opportunity to donate.
These appearances will feature Harvey and a selection of guests discussing the author’s inspirations, writing process, and general literary philosophy. Many of these talks will place her in conversation with other southern authors, who will explore the importance of southern culture and geography to Harvey’s particular brand of fiction.
“The Summer of Songbirds” is being celebrated by early readers and critics alike, many of whom place the novel among Harvey’s best and most emotionally complex books. The story has been summarized as the multi-generational journey of several women, bonded by common childhood experiences that they must now fight to preserve, all while juggling the turmoil and challenges that come with adulthood.
