Local Chocolate Manufacturer Celebrates 16 Years in Business

By: PRLog

Chocolate manufacturer Bacci Chocolate Design, the parent company of the CB Stuffer Brand, is sweet 16!

SWAMPSCOTT, Mass. - Sept. 28, 2023 - PRLog -- Local chocolate manufacturer wholesaler and online retailer Bacci Chocolate Design is celebrating 16 years in business. The business launched to support its brick and mortar retail store, The Chocolate Truffle which was sold off in 2015 and then rebranded the company to CB Stuffer as a wholesale manufacturer and online retail business.

CB Stuffer, known for one of the largest peanut butter cups in the industry and the only maker to offer peanut butter cups in several flavors, has grown to a nationally recognized woman owned small business, selling its popular CB Stuffers in all 50 states and parts of Canada. "It's been quite a journey for our small family business," stated owner Erin Calvo-Bacci, "when we took over the Chocolate Truffle in 2003, my goal was to create a manufacturing division to control our costs and build our brand as a way to differentiate us." Erin Calvo-Bacci and Carlo Bacci purchased The Chocolate Truffle in 2003 when it was located in Woburn, Massachusetts then in 2006 moved the business to its current location on Main Street in Reading, MA.

In 2007 they launched the manufacturing division in Swampscott, MA where they still manufacture today. The Baccis grew The Chocolate Truffle to three stores with two additional locations in Lynnfield and Winchester before scaling back to just the Reading location. Carlo Bacci had brokered the sale of the Reading Business in 2015 to Craig and Jennifer Burkinshaw. "Selling The Chocolate Truffle was a strategic decision because the sale afforded us more financial opportunity to invest in CB Stuffer and continue building the brand," stated Carlo Bacci, "the retail store was Erin's baby so ultimately the decision was hers. "For me," added Erin,  "the Burkinshaws were the perfect fit to be the next owners of the specialty chocolate store because of their experience and passion for choice confections. I was proud of what I built at The Chocolate Truffle, but I needed to give CB Stuffer my full attention."  In April of 2022 Calvo-Bacci took over the company so that Carlo could focus on his Business Brokerage Company and his passion for coaching Pickleball.

In addition to peanut butter cups, CB Stuffer also makes chocolate bars, chocolate pizzas and pizza slices which are all available for wholesale. They make additional treats in limited quantities which are only available through their retail division.

CB Stuffer https://cbstuffer.com Peanut Butter Cups were featured on Rachael Ray as a Snack of the Day, On the View as part of the View Your Deal and QVC. The CB Stuffer products are sold nationally into specialty stores and online.
