Girl Power USA and S.A.L.V.E. International are joining forces to support street-connected children in Uganda through medical care and awareness.

Jinja, Eastern Apr 12, 2024 (Issuewire.com) - Girl Power USA is proud to announce its new partnership with S.A.L.V.E. International, with an aim to support rehabilitation and care for children on the streets and provide a safe and nurturing environment for vulnerable children.

S.A.L.V.E. International is a non-profit organization focused on supporting children living on Ugandan streets through counseling, care, family reunification, and education. Through their comprehensive programs, they are committed to offering these children support, love, and a brighter future away from the dangers of street life.

In honor of the International Day for Street Children, Girl Power USA, in partnership with S.A.L.V.E., is offering free healthcare to 150 children in Jinja, Uganda, to create a tangible difference in their lives. At the event happening in Kakindu stadium, the children will be treated to a day of fun and education making them aware of diseases such as HIV and offered medical advice and care as needed.

Girl Power USA Executive Director, Frankie Picasso, expressed her enthusiasm for the event, "I believe it does take a village to raise a child, and by offering some of our time, affection, and love to children on the streets we can raise some incredible human beings together. Family can be as simple as "I choose you"! I'm incredibly proud of our team in Uganda, led by Hillary Turyasingura, offering healthcare to the children in Uganda. Girl Power USA is blessed to find a friend and like-minded leader in S.A.L.V.E. International's CEO Lucas Mee."

S.A.L.V.E. International's CEO, Lucas Mee, commented, "We are delighted to be working with Girl Power USA on the International Day for Street Children. Children living and working on the streets are some of the most marginalized in society but, with partnerships like this, we hope to show these children that they have a chance of a brighter future."

The partnership between the two organizations symbolizes their collective commitment to creating a better future for children everywhere, offering hope and empowerment for a better tomorrow.
