New Book About The Dual-Brain Psychology Treatment That’s Being Studied For Opioid Addiction With NIH Funding And An FDA "Breakthrough Designation" Ranked #1 New Release On Amazon In Four Countries
Reviewers of Good-bye Anxiety, Depression, Addiction, and PTSD called it “a significant breakthrough” (David Prutchi, Ph.D.), “captivating” (Kat Shaw), “revolutionary” (JaneA Kelley), and “a compelling read” (Bill Seltzer).
Dr. Fredric Schiffer, a Harvard faculty member, researcher, and practitioner, just released his book, Good-bye Anxiety, Depression, Addiction, and PTSD: The Life-Changing Science of Dual-Brain Psychology, to international acclaim. Former NBC News Medical Unit Executive Editor Susan Wagner said, "Dr. Schiffer has developed a safe, drug-free way to literally ‘see’ your way to emotional balance with practical techniques that tap into one’s mature and immature mindsets."

This book describes Dr. Schiffer’s 30+ years of scientific research into his Dual-Brain approach to treatment of anxiety, depression, addiction, and PTSD, in highly readable language. Interspersed with the science are clinical case studies of his successful treatments of patients, like Philip, with debilitating anxiety, Richard, treated first for opioid and later gambling addictions, Susan, with anxiety and depression, and a veteran with PTSD.

His dual-brain psychology uses techniques as simple as covering one eye and most of the other with an ordinary envelope to access the troubled side of the brain. He then has the patient switch sides with the envelope so they can tap into the more mature personality in their other brain hemisphere.

The book also describes his more recently developed dual-brain psychology treatment method, using near-infrared light, that is currently in Phase II trials with funding from the NIH and the HEAL Program. It has received a "Breakthrough Designation" from the FDA. His company, MindLight, LLC, is working to bring this equipment and technique to market.

Dr. Schiffer is the author of many peer-reviewed papers on dual-brain psychology, as well as the previous book, Of Two Minds. Noting the progression of Dr. Schiffer’s research and results, David Prutchi, Ph. D., CTO and Executive VP at Impulse Dynamics, wrote: "Dr. Schiffer’s latest publication, Good-bye Anxiety, Depression, Addiction, and PTSD: The Life-Changing Science of Dual-Brain Psychology, builds brilliantly upon the foundational insights of his first book, Of Two Minds. This new book not only expands and updates his pioneering research in dual-mind psychology, but also integrates near-infrared photobiomodulation therapy to yield outstanding outcomes in the treatment of anxiety, depression, addiction, and PTSD. Dr. Schiffer’s ideas mark a significant breakthrough in the treatment of mental disorders, providing a beacon of hope for individuals struggling with these conditions."

Tom Collins, of MasterBookBuilders.com, part of the indie publishing team that helped Dr. Schiffer bring this new book to publication, explained that "The dual-brain psychology treatments are too important to leave hidden in scientific journals, so we worked with Dr. Schiffer to make them – in his own words from the Introduction – ‘known and available to you, the reader.’ "The book provides that accessibility to the reader in its final chapter, "Using Dual-Brain Psychology: A Short Self-help Guide." It includes a diagram of the envelope technique and ample spaces to work through and record your experiences.

Good-bye Anxiety, Depression, Addiction, and PTSD is available on Amazon.com and other online booksellers.
